Winter Park Honey participates in National Public Lands Day

Winter Park Honey participated in the Nation Public Lands Day at Bill Frederick Park on Turkey Lake in Orlando, Florida. There were climbing ropes for the kids and all kinds of wildlife to see and touch!

Winter Park Honey was there with an observation bee hive and we were also selling all of our natural raw honeys.

Chris, a local snake enthusiast, had his pet snakes on display. Everyone, children and adults, enjoyed holding his snakes. Chris told us that all snakes are good, even the poisonous ones! He said if you have a nuisance snake please call him and he will come and remove it. His number and email are 407-855-1131 and snakesfromchris@webtv.net.

Kimberly Titterington was there with her pet armadillos. The armadillos were taking a snooze. They are nocturnal animals and most acitve at night. The two armadillos have been kim’s pets since she rescued them when they were young. They live in her house and use a litter box. Having a pet armadillo is similar to having a cat. These two curl up with Kim on her sofa to watch TV! They’re also feel soft and are pleasant to pet. Check out Kimberly’s website, http://swampgirladventures.org.
