Honey is a delicious treat with an indefinite shelf life, but sometimes you might notice crystals when moisture gets into the container. Is the honey ruined when this happens? Not at all! Here is a great video tutorial from a YouTube user named “TheOnePotChef”:
Just place the tightly shut bottle of honey into a large bowl, pour some hot water into the bowl, and your honey will return to its original form in about 10 minutes. Keep in mind that the bottle doesn’t need to be fully submerged and you should keep the top of the bottle sticking out a little bit. You also don’t need the water to be extremely hot. Just use hot water from your tap. Making the honey too hot can reduce the healthy benefits that our raw honey provides! Do you have any useful tips and tricks for removing crystals from your honey?
