Tupelo and Orange Blossom Honey
Tupelo and orange blossom honey are 2 Florida favorites. Tupelo honey is from the Florida Panhandle is a light honey with a slight greenish cast. It has a delicate flavor with a slight cinnamon aftertaste. Typically, Tupelo honey does not granulate and remains in a liquid state. You may also know this honey as ‘Eulee’s Gold’ from the movie with Peter Fonda! This honey is a Florida favorite that is quickly vanishing as the vast fields of tupelo trees become housing developments. Without the wild lands where the tupelo trees grow, the bees can’t make this rare specialty! Click here to learn more about how tupelo honey is made. Our tupelo honey meets all of the requirements for kosher.
Our light orange blossom honey from last year is gone. We have a slightly darker orange blossom now that is simply delicious. This darker orange is almost gone! It sold very quickly. There was nearly NO FLORIDA ORANGE BLOSSOM made this year! There was almost NO California orange blossom honey made this year. Our current orange blossom honey was harvested from a small grove in central Florida. Because the grove was fairly small, the bees mixed nectar from surrounding spring blossoms in addition to the orange blossoms to create this honey. This is 100% pure raw unfiltered unheated uncooked un-blended unpasteurized honey. This honey is a delicate wonderfully sweet honey that is great for your tea or coffee. The size of the orange grove, timing of the hive placement, and the weather all play a big part in the quality of an orange blossom harvest. Winter Park Honey will never harvest honey before the bees says it’s ready. This product is never blended with other honey varieties. Our comes to you, straight from the honeycomb! Made in the U.S.A. Bottled by hand. This honey meets the qualifications for Kosher. Click here to watch customer testimonials about how delicious our honey truly is.
Winter Park Honey
Winter Park Honey is a family owned honey company established in 2006. We named the company after our first farmer’s market, the Winter Park Farmer’s Market in Winter Park, Florida. In 2006, we started selling our honey at the market just for fun. The honey turned out to be a huge hit and sales quickly grew nationwide, then worldwide. Click here to learn more about Winter Park Honey and listen to the owners discuss their honey. We typically win first place in honey taste contests. All of our honey is pure, raw, unfiltered and unprocessed. We will never add a lesser grade honey to increase the volume of our top quality products!
From Solid to Liquid
All honey will eventually granulate. Tupelo honey is one honey that tends to stay in liquid form for a very long time. I’ve actually never seen a bottle of our tupelo honey get solid. Even though it may get solid eventually, its expiration date isn’t for at least a million years! We could heat the honey, which will force it to stay in liquid form longer. However, this would reduce its medicinal benefits and its expiration date. We prefer to sell it raw and unfiltered. So, if it granulates, just dig the honey out with a knife, dip it into a warm beverage/food, stir and enjoy the wonderful healing results.
